Paweena (Ying) Woothitha, MA, CMSAC

Director of Thai Clinical Services and Development / Professional Registered Counselor

About
Ying was born and raised in Nongbualumphu province, Thailand. After graduating from Payap University, in Chiang Mai, Thailand, she spent 12 years in a teaching role. She worked with children at the Nongbualumphu Special Needs Department and taught English to high school students at Sriboonruang Wittakarn school (2002-2004). During the last ten years of teaching, Ying enjoyed and loved teaching Thai Language and Culture to both Thai and missionary kids at Grace International School. In 2012, she received a scholarship from Torch Trinity Graduate University in Seoul, Korea, and completed her M. A. in Christian Counseling in 2013. Compelled by the vast need for Christian mental health in Thailand, Ying left teaching and joined Cornerstone as a full-time counselor in 2016 to serve the Thai people and community. Her desire is to see others experience hope and healing as she provides counseling to those who are struggling.

Ying is the founder and president of Christian Counseling Association Thailand (CCAT). Ying enjoys having coffee with friends, traveling, being involved in ministry, reading, and introducing people to the beauty and traditions of Thailand.
