About

Solveig Kristina Frivold is Norwegian-American, born and raised in Norway. She left Norway at 19 to pursue training in cross cultural work through the University of the Nations, USA. For more than 20 years, Solveig and her family have served in Nepal, China, and Thailand. During her years of service, Solveig has experienced a growing interest in mental health and the field of counseling, which have culminated in pursuing an advanced counseling degree. Since 2015 Solveig has worked part-time as the mental health coordinator for a Norwegian organization with a focus on community development and mental health in China. Solveig and her husband have raised their three children in Asia and are familiar with third-culture issues as they pertain to children and family life.
