Peter grew up in a Dutch immigrant family in central British Columbia in western Canada. He has a B Sc in Zoology from the University of British Columbia and an M Sc in Tropical Agricultural Development from the University of Reading in the UK. Prior to embarking on a full time Missions career, Peter worked in the construction industry and had short term ministry stints in various countries in Africa and Southeast Asia. Peter and Gill (his wife whose is from the UK) joined YWAM in 2004 and served in Kona, Hawaii and later in Penang, Malaysia before coming to Chiang Mai in 2013. For the past five years he has been the Finance and Facilities Manager at The Well in Chiang Mai. He is excited to use his accounting and analytical skills to help Cornerstone provide counseling services to Christian cross cultural workers as well as the Thai community.
