Mary Westergren, MA, LCPC

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

Mary and her husband, Steve, have served as Christian workers with the Alliance (C&MA) since 1986, in both Thailand (1986-1989) and in Cambodia (1990-2010) where Mary was involved in children’s and women’s ministries. In 2007 Mary became involved in a Cambodian mediation and reconciliation ministry. She realized that her heart was ignited with a passion to help expatriates live well outside their home cultures. The Westergrens have four adult children, all born overseas and raised as third culture kids. Mary began working at Cornerstone in 2013, after having earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton Graduate School (IL). Having lived in South East Asia for over 30 years as a Christian cross-cultural worker, Mary is well acquainted with the unique challenges expatriates and their families typically encounter in their nomadic lifestyles.
