Kristen recently joined Cornerstone as a Counseling Intern. She is presently completing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine. Kristen grew up amongst the cornfields of central Illinois, has lived in the Chicago suburbs, southwest Germany, and most recently Chiang Mai, Thailand. Kristen has lived overseas for 9 years with her husband, Joel, and is the mother of 4 growing TCKs. Kristen loves to travel and adventure with her family, hike in the Black Forest, and enjoys connecting deeply with friends.
Kristen is a certified spiritual director and certified Christ-centered yoga instructor. She believes deeply in the connection of the mind, body, and spirit as a pathway of healing integration and wholeness.
Kristen has trained in the Townsend Growth Model and worked with couples using an Emotionally Focused Therapy framework. She also serves as a Member Care Professional with the CMA coming alongside cross-cultural workers from around the globe.
